The e-learning library "Security Island" is a product of the e-learning producer mybreev. The aim of the library was to offer companies and organizations high-quality and at the same time immediately accessible e-learning courses for raising employee awareness. The library started with courses on mandatory topics such as compliance, labor law, data protection, occupational health and safety, and cyber and information security. Today, more than 100 premium e-learning courses already adorn the Security Island Library, going far beyond the mandatory security topics - and there will be even more: we firmly believe that digital training and awareness in the company will become increasingly important in the coming years. After all, in a modern company, digital training will become a strategic success parameter rather than a mere "nice-to-have".

Learning as a Service

That's why we pursue the "Learning as a Service" approach. We see not only mandatory topics in the training portfolio of a modern company, but also topics that at first glance affect employees in their private lives, but are no less relevant as a result. These include topics such as sustainability, mental health, and fair dealings with one another.

As professional and private topics are becoming increasingly blurred in reality, we are developing Security Island into an e-learning library that provides incentives for employees' personal development. To this end, we are producing high-quality, entertaining courses on the latest topics, with the aim of awakening interest in relevant issues and encouraging in-depth discussion of them - for the benefit of the individual, the company and the environment as a whole. Because we are convinced: private, professional and social worlds should not be viewed in isolation from each other - they only function in a healthy interplay.

Security Island 2021 vs 2022

In 2021, the Security Island Library underwent focused further development. The mybreev team produced over 40 immediately applicable e-learnings. The "Fairness First", "Leadership", "Health" and "Change Management" channels in particular received a significant boost and were enriched with over 25 new courses.

And the year 2022 will see a continuation of this trend: With the "Personal and Corporate Change" channel, flexibility and adaptability in both private and professional contexts will increasingly become the focus of course production. The topics of "Fairness First" (including diversity and inclusion courses) and "Sustainability" will also be consistently developed further with the help of established partners. Our security and compliance topics remain an important part of the library and will be adapted to new circumstances.

New "Digital Skills" channel

With "Digital Skills," a completely new channel is being developed that will enable your employees to master the increasingly digital nature of their daily work with confidence. The two years 2020 and 2021 have shown that digital skills are not only desirable, but necessary to survive in the modern working world. In this context, it is the company's responsibility to take employees by the hand, train skills and create inspiration to independently navigate the jungle of digital tools and find the best solutions for their own area of activity.

In other words: We are far from being at the end! On the contrary, we are recognizing more and more topics that will have to be talked about in the company sooner or later. Be curious which topics and projects will still follow. Until then, we wish you a nice and healthy start into the new year!
